Get started
From your site address to your first numbers, in four steps.
1. Add your site
- Type your site on the Goppa home page and create a free account. No card is needed.
- Pick a plan, or continue with the free account.
- Choose where to measure: a country, or a region such as Europe or Worldwide. The questions are asked in that country's language when Goppa has it, and in English otherwise.
Google AI Overview is measured only for a country, because Google always searches from one place. For a region, Goppa measures the other engines.
2. Connect your site

| Any other platform | No plugin is needed. Goppa reads your site from the outside, and each step in Fixes says what to change and where. |
Optional connections
- Search Console: your real Google clicks and impressions, read-only. Available when your plan includes SEO.
- Bing Webmaster Tools: what Bing reports about your pages. You paste an API key.
Both are in Settings → Connections.
3. Run your first measurement
Goppa asks AI engines the questions a buyer in your market would ask, and records every answer: whether it names your store, whether it cites your site, and which businesses and sources appear in it.

Before your first measurement, Run first measurement and Measure now start it in one click, with the questions Goppa suggests. To pick the questions yourself, open Choose the questions yourself first. After that, Measure again opens Run a measurement, where you review the questions and approve the measurement, and you can change or stop the schedule. A measurement takes a few minutes. 4. Read the numbers

| A percentage | Shown only from 10 answers. Below 10, you see the count only. |
| Named | The answer names your store. |
| Cited your site | The answer links to your site or uses it as a source. An answer that only links to your site counts as Cited your site, not as Named. |
| Rule changed | Until 2026-10-12, an answer that only linked to your site also counted as Named. Older measurements are recounted with the new rule when their saved answers allow it; the others keep the old rule. The Named chart starts again from the change and marks it. |
| One engine at a time | ChatGPT, Google AI Overview and Perplexity are counted separately. Two numbers add every engine of the same measurement together, and say so: the AI Visibility gauge and the All engines line. |
| Not measured | There is no answer for that question or engine. It is never counted as Not named or as zero. |
| Failed | The engine did not answer in that measurement. The other engines count as usual. |
| No AI Overview | Google showed no AI Overview for that search, so nobody was named there. |
| Measured: zero | Measured, and no answer named you. Check who was named instead. |
| What changed | The same questions on the same engine in two measurements, with a paired test: Real gain, Real drop or Normal variation. When the questions, the engines or the Named rule changed, it says Not comparable. |
When a reading is Out of date

| Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools | 14 days without a new reading, or twice your plan's SEO reading interval when that is longer: 60 days when SEO is read once a month. If your plan has no SEO, they are not read, and the row just says Connected. |
| AI measurement | Twice your schedule, so 14 days for a weekly schedule. Without a schedule, never: your last measurement is the last one you asked for. |
